Description

Data Centers: Building the Backbone A Framework for San Jose's Digital Infrastructure

Sponsored by Chamber members: Clear Channel Outdoor, Devcon and Stateside

Data centers are the critical infrastructure of our digital economy. They are the backbone for the services residents and businesses depend on every day. As demand grows, San Jose has an opportunity to shape how this infrastructure is built: responsibly, reliably, and in ways that deliver lasting value to the community.

Join leaders from the City, PG&E, labor and the data center industry for a forward-looking conversation about the framework that will guide the next generation of data center development in San Jose. The discussion will cover:

  • Energy and grid readiness: how to plan for and serve growing power needs while keeping the grid reliable
  • Workforce and economic opportunity: the skilled jobs these projects create, from construction through long-term operations
  • Standards for what comes next: the regulations data centers already meet, and the City's work to set new standards for future projects

This member-only program brings government, energy, labor, and industry to the same table to explore how San Jose can lead in building the infrastructure our digital future depends on.
