Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Empire Armadillo Texas BBQ & NYC Deli

On December 4th, come celebrate the grand opening of Empire Armadillo, the newest addition to San Jose’s dining scene, now serving at the former Armadillo Willy’s location on Blossom Hill. This reinvented space honors a neighborhood favorite while introducing a bold fusion of Texas-style barbecue and NYC deli classics under one roof.

Sink your teeth into slow-smoked brisket, juicy pulled pork, ribs, and all your favorite Texas barbecue staples or dive into East Coast favorites like their house-made pastrami, stacked Reuben sandwiches, melt-in-your-mouth French dips, and more. Whether you crave smoky, savory, or saucy, Empire Armadillo is serving something that will have your mouth watering.

To celebrate their opening day, Empire Armadillo will be offering free samples of signature items throughout the day.

🎉 The first 50 customers at lunch (starting at 11:00 AM) will receive a free side with their meal.
🎉 The first 50 customers at dinner (starting at 4:30 PM) will also receive a free side.

Join the Chamber, community members, and city representatives for the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by dinner service for anyone wanting to stay and enjoy the celebration.

Empire Armadillo will be open 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM on grand opening day.
